Our journey did not end at graduation.
The classrooms may be behind us, but our responsibility to one another—and to the generations that follow—has only just begun.
Our story began long before there was an organization. It began in classrooms, on school grounds, and in the friendships and experiences we shared as students. Years later, with our lives taking us to different parts of the world, those bonds remained.
Eventually, reconnecting was no longer enough.
We began asking what we could do together—not only for one another, but for the school that helped shape us and for people in our communities who could use a helping hand.
That question became Progressive Monkeys Inc.
Today, we bring like-minded alumni together around education and service, supporting scholarships, school needs, food assistance, humanitarian outreach, projects benefiting our alma mater, and other needs where we believe our collective effort can make a difference.
We believe where a child begins should never determine how far they can go. Through education and practical support, we help create opportunities for young Liberians to learn, grow, and build toward their future.
Our loyalty to Monrovia College taught us something bigger than school pride: to carry what we learned forward. Today, that means scholarships, school essentials, food assistance, and community initiatives that put service into action.
Our members may live miles apart, but we remain connected by a shared history and a desire to give back. What started with friendship has become a collective commitment to our alma mater, our communities, and the generations coming behind us.
Progressive Monkeys is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded and led by alumni of Monrovia College Industrial Training School.
We believe that the friendships we built should serve a greater purpose.
What began as a connection among classmates has evolved into a commitment to service and educational advancement. We have chosen to stand together in service to others, supporting educational opportunities, community initiatives, humanitarian causes, and those facing difficult times.
We are more than an alumni network. We are a family united by friendship, strengthened by loyalty, and dedicated to making a positive difference in our communities. We love our alma mater, and we proudly cherish the experiences that shaped us. But our hearts called us to do more.
Our commitment extends beyond ourselves. We are dedicated to helping create opportunities for the next generation, empowering young people through education, encouragement, and meaningful acts of service.
We are proud of where we came from. We are proud to be Monrovia College alumni. But being loyal to our school means more to us than remembering the past. It means carrying forward what we were taught and using what we have today to make room for someone else’s tomorrow.

Our funding priorities reflect Progressive Monkeys’ commitment to directing the majority of available resources toward charitable programs, educational opportunities, and community impact.
Actual allocations may vary based on designated gifts, program needs, and organizational expenses.

The memories, lessons, friendships, and experiences we carried from those halls are part of a history we share. And with that shared history comes an opportunity to do something meaningful together.
